Franklin Mitchell
Franklin Mitchell is a graduate student in Literature at Northern Arizona University. He thinks and writes about the function of slave narratives in American literature, specifically neo-slave narratives, although he also has a background in English Education . Recently, he has presented papers at the Watson Conference at the University of Louisville and NAU's Peaks Conference entitled "Assessing or Assimilating: Why Antiracist Pedagogy Matters" and "Black Post-Truth: Constructing Truth with Feelings in Neo-Slave and Meta-Slave Narratives" respectively. He is currently working on a study of race and nationalism in science fiction and Afro and Indigenous Futurism.
