Erica Massey is a PhD student and graduate instructor at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She specializes in comics and fandom studies, as well as book history, digital ethnography, disability and minority literature. A two-time speaker at Dragon Con’s Comics and Popular Arts Conference, she was the 2014 recipient of the Alfred Leja English award and contributor of the 2018 Comic Studies Here and Now edited by Frederick Aldama. Erica is an avid comic book collector, blogger, and fandom contributor, with a particular affection for Marvel publications.
