Karina Perez works at the Aerospace Industries Association with both the Strategy & Integration and Technical Operations & Standards teams. In this role, she serves as AIA’s Research Center associate and helps manage and maintain strategic partnerships while supporting meeting planning and logistics as well as database and product management. Before joining AIA, Karina was a public policy intern with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Economic Development where she focused on aerospace and STEM initiatives for women and the economic impact of the Los Angeles Air Force Base. In addition to her work at AIA, Karina serves as deputy manager for SGx Satellite under the NGO Space Generation Advisory Council. Karina joined SGAC in April of 2017 while completing an internship with the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Outside of the aerospace industry, Karina has hosted over 16 panels and talks throughout Southern California on pop culture, politics and diversity. Karina holds a B.A. in Political Science, Public Policy and Management from California State University, Northridge.
